WOORDEN TEMMEN

The metre is a graphic visualization for rhythm in poems. We incorporated these forms into the design of the poetry collection. Each poem is followed by several educational exercises (do, write, read, more and know). 

Each edition is assigned two PMS colours corresponding to the theme.

To make a clear distinction between the 'read' and 'do' pages, the poems were given a different background colour, which also accentuates the length of the poem. We placed the note pages on the right-hand side so that the reader/potential poet can always take notes.

The poetry duo Kila&Babsie selected 24 favourite poems linked to locations and times. In this edition of woorden temmen, poems are linked to assignments through which young and old can learn the joys of poetry.

Time and location are leading in the navigation of the book. The page numbers form a digital-analogue clock, and the table of contents is based on the times and locations.

Van kop tot teen (From head to toe) is a poetry activity book by Grange Fontaine. The second edition of woorden temmen was compiled by @charlotte_vandenbroeck and @jeroendera! 30 Dutch-language poems and assignments with the human body as the frame.

The body also guides the reader through the book. The page numbers are a reference to the interpretations of historical medical drawings and the table of contents is based on a helix/DNA strand.
